RealFlow 2013 is outNext Limit Technologies announced the immediately availability of the most popular available fluid simulation software, RealFlow 2013. With RealFlow you can simulate large-scale Hybrido fluids, highly detailed particles fluids (Smoothed-particle hydrodynamics), rigid and soft bodies (Caronte Body Dynamics Solver) and wave surfaces. RealFlow has gone through lots of major and minor changes. The main features will doubtless attract your attention, but there are also many improvements affecting the stability, memory efficiency, user-friendliness and speed. Between the most attractive changes belongs RealFlow's cutting-edge hybrid grid/particle solver, Hybrido 2 which was rewritten from scratch. Hybrido 2 provides a very high level of detail and is much faster than it’s before. Next Limit also added sophisticated support for GPU-based simulations and a new mesh engine which is able to catch all the fine structures from the core fluid simulation. By performing large-scale simulations the conditions for splash, foam and mist formation, are automatically created. Even these secondary particles can even be simulated as a post process in a network using RealFlow Nodes. Like this you can create and generate millions of particles representing the fluid.

Hybrido 2 from now also supports OpenCL GPU-based simulation – even in collaboration with your computer's CPU(s). With the right hardware you will be able to boost up the performance and simulation speed and finish your fluid tasks in a fraction of the time. The multiple GPU acceleration is only available with Hybrido 2, RealFlow's Hybrido solver. Other, like particle fluids, RealWave jobs or rigid/soft body dynamics do not benefit from this feature. Next to Hybrido 2 Next Limit integrated Maxwell Render's real-time preview engine, called “FIRE”. With „FIRE“ you can render almost photo-realistic renders from the currently loaded simulation. Like this you can for the first time take the preview renders to a higher level. RealFlow is compatible with all major 3D platforms including 3ds Max, Lightwave and Maya.
