The World Summit Award Grand Jury met in Hong Kong, from April 8-14 bringing together eminent multimedia and e-Content experts from 32 countries. On 3DTotal appeared a new making of from artist Christian Johnson called The Janitor. He used 3DsMax, Photoshop and fianltoon to create a futuristic looking robotic janitor. To model this piece of robot he used his own library of models, how he said, it’s always good to keep pieces of your model which you can use after and don’t have to start from scratch. In the making of Christian is guiding us through his modeling techniques which he used in 3DsMax, next to Photoshop where he created his textures to the render of this robot.  He told that he did this project to see how long it takes to create something which design you have only in your head.

The concept of this challenge is to illustrate a fake time traveller’s guide for dummies by getting inspired with this concept: For more than a decade, time travelling has been allowed for everyone. Although it`s secure nowadays, the government wants to produce a little guide for travellers to warn them about annoyances and how to avoid problems.
