3D Creative #81 is out

modelingLast issue of 3D Creative is again full loaded of interesting tutorials. Comparing two different technics by using Maya and 3ds Max continues with new base model, an old man’s head, which is also a cover picture of this month issue. Also this time whole process is axplained by Rodrigue Pralier and Anto Juricic.

In the second part of tutorial series covering FX, Particles and Dynamics, Matt Chandler and Mike Zugschwert move away from creating and animating water and turn their attention to smoke, with Matt working in 3ds Max and Mike in Maya. They don’t only show us how to set up the effects, but also demonstrate how to manipulate them to match an environment or scenario of your choice.

In this „Make it real“ challenge you can win over $100.000 in 3D printing prizes. o enter to this competition you have to submit a Step By Step or Photo Instructable that involves taking a virtual item and making it real in some way in their project (i.e. a 3d printed model, laser cut file, printed piece of paper, etc.). Also, renderings of a finished project are acceptable (such as a 3D models and illustrations). Instructables must be published untill 4th of June 4.

 

 

 

KeyShot 3D Rendering Contest

renderingLuxion starts a new rendering contest where you have a chance to win a license of KeyShot Pro with Animation. Theme of this competition is style and class. And what are more typical representatives for „style and class“ than the watches. So your goal is create a captivating image of the watch. It can be any watch or you can use the one provided on KeyShot page (follow link at the end of article).

Whole competition is divided in two categories; best rendering and best animation. The submissions will be judged on three criteria – Realism, Creativity and Composition. Winner of each will win KeyShot Pro with Animation.
