CG Masters released a new training DVD for Blender called Ninja Character Creation Volume 2. In this second training DVD in this series will the author Lee Salvemini show you how to animate his Ninja model which he did in the Volume 1 of Ninja Character Creation in Blender. The training starts by explaining all rigging tools available in Blender from a fundamental level which is useful especially for Beginners.
The Blender for Dummies book about the fundamentals of Blender was recently reviewed and released as 2nd Edition. This time the author Jason Van Gumster is describing the new series of Blender 2.5x. The book is divided into 5 parts and 18 chapters on 406 pages. The author is taking the reader through all the Basics in Blender starting with induction the reader to the user interface and understanding how Blender works. In the next chapters he explains detailed modeling, rigging and animation, textures and much more. The book comes with a DVD which includes help files for the books chapters and useful software.
James Wolf Strehle posted on 3Dtotal his making of 'Twisted Room' done purely in Photoshop. In this article James would explain his work on this image from sketch to the final image. How he said, he begun with a very simple sketch of the idea which was made from two words twisted and room. He used the sketch lines like guidelines for his next steps in Photoshop where he defined the atmosphere in the room by changing the value of contrast in different places. He also focused on two major parts in the image; the character and the window.
Tree of Life is a new film of director Terrence Malick. The film story centres on a family with three boys in the 1950s. The eldest son witnesses the loss of innocence. This film, where play Brad Pitt and Sean Penn, took the Palme d'Or at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. Tree of Life shows like main protagonist is seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life.
