Update to V-Ray 2.0 for Maya is now available

V-Ray, maya

After releasing an update to V-Ray 2.0 for 3ds Max, the Chaos Group team also announced an update to V-Ray 2.0 for Maya, offering new hair and fur capabilities, V-Ray RT GPU enhancements, and tighter Maya integration. New Hair and Fur Capabilities bring extra attributes to apply materials to Maya’s native hair and also allow rendering hair and fur with unprecedented control, quality, and speed. V-Ray RT GPU now supports texture-mapped rectangle and mesh lights, simple light portals, and the VrayBlendMtl.

This update also optimizes memory usage and multithreaded performance for dynamic geometry and brings new Flakes material and improved support for Maya standard shading nodes. The update is free for V-Ray 2.0 for Maya users.
