Also this Sunday we focused on VFX in recently released movies. This time portal Art of VFX made an interview with Eric Robinson, winner of VES (Visual Effect Society). who actaully worked for Image Engine and participated on Distict 9 and Law Abiding Citizen. Image Engine provided the full range of visual effects work on IMMORTALS, from computer generated characters, character transitions and heavily stylized digital blood and gore. But as Simon unveils, the main challenge for the company was definitely the digital environment work.

The main environment was the cliff, which stretches for roughly half a kilometer and houses three of the key sets: the village, the tree-bluff and the checkpoint, which are all carved into the rock. Simon told us how they mastered this challenge. Simon also tolds about how they created the Hawk, magical arrows or how they built the cliff. so if you want to know more about Image engine`swork at this movie, e.g. which software they used, what they use for references or how long it all takes, read full interview.
