LightWave 10.1 released

Lightwave NewTekNewTek, a worldwide leader of 3D animation annouced the immediate release of their award winnig 3D modeling, animation, visual effects and rendering software LightWave 10.1. With a lot of new features such as new off-axis stereoscopic camera rig option, improved Viewport Preview Renderer (VPR), advanced import and export capabilities, including MDD and integrated Autodesk® Geometry Cache support, a new Skin Shader node;  stereo enhancements include interactive OpenGL off-axis adjustment of the right and left camera planes. The new LightWave 10.1 Viewport Preview Renderer allows artists to directly interact and easily adjust lights, textures, volumetric and more, within the viewport.

Autodesk announces release of Mudbox 2012 Service Pack 3, which is possible to download on Autodesk web page. It includes all improvements from others service packs released before and some additional. It addresses quality issues when re-importing PSD files into Mudbox and also in release notes you can find best practises when exporting to PSD and reimporting.

Hotfix for the 3ds Max 2012 and 3ds Max Design 2012 is available

Autodesk released the second Hotfix #2 for the 3ds Max 2012 and 3ds Max Design 2012. This hotfix should fix several important issues with this software.
