MARI 1.3 has many new features to help keep your painting creative whilst helping with workflow and pipeline pain. It allows you e.g. to preview shiny, reflective surfaces and to review the final appearance of their textures whilst paintingor to paint and render models without having to spend time creating complicated UV maps etc.

Daz3D recently released the new 3D figure art and animation tool DAZ Studio 4. Now the software includes a new joint system that relies on hand-painted weight-maps to control the bending of a figure. Known as the TriAx™ weight-map system. The ability of painting separately each map for each axis of rotation give the artists new level of control. With this improvement comes also new auto-rigging system. From now the artist need only to take the origin of the mesh and pull, push into anything he can imagine.

All the new features of the news release of Vue are available in this PLE edition; of course this edition is for learning only so you can’t open the files in full edition. Today Autodesk released the second Hotfix #2 for the newest Maya 2012. This hotfix should fix several important issues with this software.  Some of the issues which were with Maya 2012 were also incompatibility with Wacom tablet when you were using the mouse.  The fixes cover renderer, modeling tools, materials, mental ray and more because his size is over 60MB.
