Autodesk new free application for 3D modeling 123D is updated to a new Beta5. This new release doesn’t need the previous Beta4 so the only thing you have to do is grab this fresh copy and install. The Beta5 comes with new features and also several bug fixes. The 123D Beta5 now supports 2D sheets for creating documentation drawings or for printing purposes. This feature currently supports the creation of sheets in various standard sizes, setting graphic appearance per view and much more. Also Autodesk implemented publishing to WS and DWG new primitives and a lot more in this new Beta5.

Maxwell released a new update of his render engine Maxwell Render for Bonazai3D updating it to version 2.5.2.2. This new release requires Maxwell Render 2.5.1 or higher and Bonzai3D version 2.5 or higher to be working and possibly to install. The update brings with it new features and also bug fixes such as adding Simulens support, support for Bonzai Render Area Rectangle and much more. The update also fixes troubles of reading predefined Bonzai3D material library.

The Gnomon Workshop announces the release of Enviroment Modeling for Games, tutorial from 3D Artist, Nate Stephens, which is currently working at Sony Santa Monica as a Lead Enviroment Artist. Nate will explain various modeling tools, techniques, and workflows, as well as numerous theories and methods used to create game art in Maya. He will also cover common errors and mistakes to avoid so that the scene will run efficiently in real time and light correctly.
