NewTek implements CORE technology

Lightwave NewtekNewTek after releasing a new version of his 3D modeling and animation software Lightwave 10.1 announce the plan of implementing CORE technology directly to Lightwave 3D. The CORE technology was announced back in 2009, this feature should help artists and technical directors to model, animate and render on a next-generation platform. Originally it was planned to be a standalone product, but NewTek decided that the new Lightwave is more than capable to be upgraded and the CORE technology will be implemented directly to it.

Review of Thea Render

3DS Max

3D World magazine brings review of this render software. Such as 3D World writed is Thea Render good deal. There are many reason for that. The biggest is that Rhea offers biased and unbiased rendering in one package. Biased used to use for animation, when speed is important, unbiased for great realism. Both approaches use the same materials and lights: there’s no need to convert a scene should you want to flip between biased and unbiased.
