Onyx Computins released latest version of its tree generator for 3ds Max 2013. TREE STORM 2013 is as a part of OnyxGARDEN SuperBundle 2200 or as a separate package. This plugin package enables you to model trees created with OnyxTREE BROADLEAF, OnyxTREE CONIFER, and OnyxPALM generators or TREE CLASSIC generator directly into Max and animate the trees on the wind.

Autodesk has unveiled the powerful new Flame 20th Anniversary Edition software. The new software is part of Autodesk Flame Premium 2013, a high-end software toolset that integrates visual effects, editorial and real-time color grading. The new edition streamlines complex tasks and improves speed with a new creative workspace, top-level editorial timeline integration and an enhanced GPU pipeline.
After long time since this version was announced, officialy is LuxRender v1.0 released. LuxRender is a physically based and unbiased rendering engine. With this version it brings a long list of improvements and more stability. According to LuxRender team is this probably the most stable release of LuxRender even if a few issues remain and should be fixed in a forthcoming release.
