In this tutorial we will using reference images model different objects which you can find inside any interior by starting with a simple conference table. Starting from a primitive object we will shape the models according our reference picture using poly-modeling technique. Like this we will model overall five models including a conference table and a wardrobe. Using subdivision and smooth modifier we will achieve smooth look of all our models.

In the tutorial we will start by rendering simple references of the main body of the laser rifle which we will after import and use in Photoshop like a reference for fitting and adjusting the texture. We will create the texture from scratch, using some reference image and real world textures which we will combine to create realistic texture with all the small details for the laser rifle.

Modeling a detailed dagger in 3ds MaxIn this tutorial I will show you how to model a detailed fantasy dagger in 3ds Max using a reference picture. This tutorial was requested on our forums and together with the request the user provided also the reference picture according which i should model the dagger. We will start the tutorial by adjusting and importing the reference picture inside 3ds Max using a standard material and a plane. After this first step i will start to model the blade using  poly-modeling technique starting from a box and by moving the vertex and edges shaping the box into the blade of the dagger.

Photoshop tutorial maskingThe mask feature inside Photoshop is used for various things with manipulating of images and layers and mastering this feature is a great advantage for everyone. Basically the mask is a co-layer to the existing layer where the light points shows the visible areas of the image and the dark points the opposite, you can image this like an eraser which you can revert by simply brushing over the erased area with the opposite brush. In this tutorial i will show you various tools how you can apply and create a mask and so cut off also difficult shapes from the original image very easy.
